Forza Horizon 6 Horizon Decades Event: Celebrating Automotive History in Series 2
Quote from aBigAiLWest106 on June 18, 2026, 1:35 amJust when we're finally settling into the roads of virtual Japan, Playground Games is already dropping the clutch on the next big update. Forza Horizon 6 Series 2, officially dubbed "Horizon Decades," is launching this Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2:30 PM UTC.
Running through July 16, this four-week Festival Playlist is all about paying tribute to the history of car culture. If you love iconic classics, rare track weapons, or just hanging out with the community, there is a lot to look forward to this month.
Here is a breakdown of what is coming to the festival.
The Car Meet is Back (and Better)
One of the coolest map updates this series is the temporary Evolving World Car Meet setting up shop at the Hokubu Time Attack Circuit. Taking full advantage of FH6’s Shared World system, you can just drive straight into the circuit to park, show off your latest custom builds, swap liveries, and easily link up with other players for convoys. It feels like a proper grassroots car meet, and it’s likely going to be the main social hub for the next month.
Speaking of challenges, The Trial is making its return to the Festival Playlist. The infamous 6v6, best-of-three co-op championship is back to test your teamwork against Unbeatable AI. Just a heads-up though: access is locked behind the Horizon Legends status, so you’ll need to have earned your Gold Wristband to jump in.
New Profile Badges to Flex
Series 2 is introducing three new event-specific profile badges to add to your gamertag. Some are easy, while one is brilliantly specific:
Time Traveler: The easiest of the bunch. You get this just for logging in and playing during the Series 2 window.
Festival Enjoyer: Earned by dipping your toes into everything—you'll need to complete each type of activity on the Festival Playlist.
Egg-cellent!: The meme badge of the update. To unlock this, you need to drive the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 (the legendary Viper-engined pickup) to the Hokubu Car Meet and park it.
The Reward Cars: Series Milestones
We are getting a massive injection of 10 Series Reward cars over the next four weeks. While the individual season rewards will drop week by week, the developers have revealed the two major milestone cars that you can chip away at across the entire month:
1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (80 PTS)
At 80 points, you’ll unlock an absolute legend of the 964 generation. The "Leichtbau" (Lightweight) is a stripped-out, weight-optimized track icon. In the real world, Porsche only built 86 of these, making it incredibly rare. It’s the perfect fit for a series celebrating automotive history and should be an absolute blast on Japan's tight, winding roads.
2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430 (160 PTS)
If you grind all the way to 160 points, you’ll walk away with the ultimate expression of Lotus’s lightweight philosophy. The Cup 430 is a track weapon pushing 430 horsepower in a chassis that weighs next to nothing. It's point-and-shoot driving at its absolute finest, and it’ll likely dominate the handling leaderboards.
